I am currently in my 26th year of teaching, 19th at USC.  I graduated from Iowa State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology.  I received my Masters in Education from St. Mary's in 2004.

Chemistry in the Community
This is a one semester course relating chemistry to the natural environment. Topics of study include water chemistry and chemical resources. Assignments may or may not be up to date as this is continually changing. Test and quiz dates will be posted.
Advanced Biology
This course is in association with Southwest Minnesota State University. Topics studied will include cell make-up, genetics, cell processes, evolution, and ecology. Assignments may or may not be up to date as this is a continual work in progress. I will post dates of tests and quizzes.
Human Anatomy
This course provides an in-depth understanding of the process of the human body. Students will carry out laboratory exercises and activities designed to enhance their understanding of the interactions of the physiological, structural, genetic and biochemical processes that make the human body a masterpiece of life. Prerequisite: C+ in General Biology Assignments may or may not be up to date as this is a continual process. Test and quiz dates will be posted.
Biology
Biology consists of a balanced mixture of laboratory work, class discussions and other relevant student activities. Topics covered include: cell biology, heredity and genetics, plants and animals, taxonomy, theories of evolution, and ecology.
