Season's greetings!

Throughout this year, we will be learning to think critically about issues and stories both inside and outside of our text book.  Reading is an essential component to success in any avenue of life.  The activity of reading brings with it awareness and understanding.  Additionally, we will begin to grapple with what the term grit means and refuse to do work that is a lesser quality than what we are able to do.

It is my hope that students would learn to challenge themselves and question the environment around them with a critical perspective.

The syllabi posted are working documents.

Regardless of the grade level (9, 10 or 12), students will be adhering to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) when publishing three essays, analyzing literature and completing daily assignments.

Let's make it a great year; go Rebels!
